Hellllooooo Lucky-Rainbow-ers! (cute eh)
I'm currently taking a mini vacation from Etsy and LuckyRainbow for the next week as the full time job must take priority. It's our busiest two weeks of the academic year and 12 hour days follow suit! Cue super, sad, smiley face!
I shall be back in action from the second week in September. For those of you who have orders, if they are ready or shipped I will have already contacted you and if you havn't heard from me, you will very soon!
Thank you for your patience!

Yesterday I heart-ed..
....sunshine!
The forecast said 20 degrees plus for Sunday, August 15th and so it began. "We have to get up early" Robert said, "We have to beat the crowds!" Robert said......"Come on, Come on!!!!" Robert said...again! For those of you who don't live in Ireland, the phenomenon of sun, (yes it is a phenomenon!) is an event in itself. A rare event that we greet with open and sun lotion-ed sticky arms! We grab the best beach towels we have from the hot press, root through our winter clothing for those linen trousers you bought just incase we got "a bitta sun!", throw together the bare bones of a picnic (flask of tay and a few hang sandwiches (tea and ham sandwiches)) and off we go...to the beach, praying to the high sun gods that no else has thought of going there today........except everyone has had the same idea as you and before you know it, you're scrambling for a car space, driving round and round the car park looking for someone, anyone to pull out and get a much sought after space!
Then you have to get the perfect beach space, somewhere with a bit of shade....yes shade! We wait months and months on end for the sun only to leg it to the beach and get some shade! We are a funny bunch! However there are legitimate reasons for said piece of shade! We don't tan.....at all, or at least I don't! Instead we turn a tomato shed or red, experience some agony for a few days which can only be relived by after sun chilled in the freezer and then we return to our natural colour of white.....milky white.
Needless to say, I can't wait for our next day of sun!

Today I heart...
......New York City baby!!
It's official, my dream of one day visiting NYC and America itself will soon be a reality. My mum and I are flying over on December 1st for 5 nights! When I was younger I used to read the Sweet Valley High & The Babysitter Club books and I'd wish my dad would get a job in America so we could all move over and I could go to High School! When I met my boyfriend Robert, I then discovered that he got to live this little dream of mine! When he was four his whole family upped sticks and moved to America for four years. I was green with jealousy!
Most people my age have been to the states already, but somehow I ended up discovering Asia, Africa and Europe instead! Obvioulsy I'll be a typical tourist and see all the usual sights but secretly I cannot wait to hit all the Art Galleries, Museums and craft stores! I'll be in my element!
Just so you know...114 days to NYC!! Eeeek!

Procrastination!
....The art of putting something on the long finger!
.....I'm writing this post as I am hoping upon hope that someone out there has ideas on how to beat procrastination! For I am... I am afraid to say... the worst kind of procrastinator! Picture the scene, I arrive home from the day job around 5.30pm and I know that I've a number of tasks ahead of me, be they work on a few orders, add some new items to my Etsy shop, take a walk or head to the gym...the TV comes on and I say to myself, after this programme I'll start so and so! Said programme ends and I find another excuse.....no I'll start at 8.30pm and work straight until 11pm....
....9pm rolls by and I tell myself, ok I'll get started at 9.30 and then get up an hour earlier in the morning. Bed time arrives and you guessed it I've just sat in front of the TV for the bones of 6 hours and completed nothing! I hate the fact that I put 'things' on the long finger and if I hate it sooo much then why can't I change it?
Any tips out there from any former procrastinators? or are you going to put off leaving a comment until tommorrow? :)

Guest Blogging!
Hey Everyone!
Hope you're enjoying the last of your bank holiday relaxation if you're in Ireland! and if you're not in Ireland, hope the Monday blues weren't too bad! I'm celebrating the last of my bank holiday Monday with a Chinese (naughty, naughty!) and a soak in a bath filled with bath bombs!
This evening I was lined up to guest blog for the lovely Lola Dee, an Etsy Ireland team member from Cork. Check out her cute accessories and photography here on her etsy shop. She's currently on vacation in Turkey at the mo (not one bit jealous!), but she has left her siopa open for you to browse and purchase! I really enjoyed the idea of guest blogging and someday I'd like to line up some other crafters or artists for the LuckyRainbow blog. Its always good to get a different perspective in life! For those of you interested in the piece I wrote today, feel free to view it here.
I hope you all have an enjoyable week!
