I'm celebrating my seventh valentines with my handsome other half and just like Christmas, it gets a little harder as the years pass by to think of something creative, unusual and perfect for him. However, a quick drool through Etsy and the interweb and I'm feeling inspired once more.

The return of the Etsy shop!

Hurragh, its been forever, but I've finally, finally reopened my LuckyRainbowDesigns Etsy shop. Queue small round of applause and I think I can hear a few 'Whoop, Whoop's' in the background.

Due to working full time and completing my Masters in Art college, I had no choice but to put the shop on the back burner and you know what, I really missed making my little crafty items and the mini thrill of getting that sale and then spending the time to wrap it up carefully, package it and then send it off to that lovely person. I missed the whole process, especially the packaging part!

As mentioned in previous posts, I've listed some Valentines cards to get the shop kick started as love is literally in the air and just around the corner. I plan on listing more items everyday this week and in no time, I'll have a happy and full shop once more.

I'm currently working on some new type of stock, but more on a that later. It's all a little hush, hush for now, but I'm excited about it and hope you all will be too.

Valentines Day

Are you loved up, eyeing some one up and perhaps looking for that perfect card which says "I think you're alright!"....just kidding people! Yup, mushy day aka Valentines Day is just around the corner and I've put the head down and dug into all things pink and red, especially for you guys and gotten together some new Valentines cards for that special someone in your life.

Don't worry, I've stayed well away from images of bears holding hearts and love birds exchanging sweet nothings for something a little more grown up, but that's just my personal taste creeping into my work. In line with re-opening my Etsy shop on January 20th, all of these cards will be available to purchase from then. Valentines 2012!

 Yes, Yes I know...Christmas is barely over and here I am shoving lovey-dovey Valentines cards in your face, but I'm afraid I am a romantic at heart! However after five (and a bit) years together, the beau and I most likely will not celebrate Valentines (well...maybe not to the extent we have done in the past) because he'll be studying for some very important exams before he goes on his (exciting) placement.

So, for those of you, who are loved up and wish to share some of that amazing love with your special other half, here are a few Valentines cards for your approval. They're not  the usual (I think) too rose-mantic or "pass me the bucket, I'm going to puke from all the love" type of cards....they're subtle, with hints of purples and green too. Who needs that much pink anyways? 

After all the hustle of Christmas and a craft room full to the brim with red paper and snowflake punches it was nice, if not a welcome relief to break into the Valentines selection. More images can be viewed here

Its been a productive day!!!

All week I kept telling myself that when Saturday arrives, I'm locking myself away into the studio! I'm feeling pretty determined lately to create some great work and most importantly, I want to have the best items possible to have on display on my esty page and of course for show on the estyireland blog too!!

I'm obviously still in a loved up mood...its hearts galore in the studio today! No doubt I'll be seeing them in my sleep tonight! These items will also be appearing on www.luckyrainbowdesigns.etsy.com

Love is in the air!!!

Valentines Day is fast approaching and while many of you (I'm guessing the men out there) probably hate the thought of trying to think of something romantic to keep the misses happy, I'm happy to say that i quite like the occasion! Actually I'm a hopeless romantic and usually go to all ends to make the evening special for my other half!!.....so with that in mind, LuckyRainbowDesigns has come to save the day and take the agony out of walking around packed shops looking for that extra special card that says 'I Love You!'. I love card making days!

Today is my last day off before I head back to the 9-5.30 grindstone that is work!! In fact I'm kinda of looking forward to going back, I need a little bit of routine in my life...don't we all? However no sooner will I be back and I be wishing for Friday night to come so I can run straight back into my messy craft room.

But for now, let me share with you some more of my creations, all of which can be used for the 2010 Valentines season! (yes I said it...one holiday is over and us card makers are planning the next!)
